Silmadi

The feel of match-3 and the certainty of a logic puzzle, on one board.

A match gives a clue to the board’s hidden rule instead of points. The clues add up, and the answer comes out by deduction. Every puzzle has a single solution, and deduction alone is enough to reach it, so nothing has to be guessed. The promises behind this are in Why matches give clues.

The name joins two Korean words. Silmari is the loose thread that unravels a knot; madi is a joint, and a cell of the grid. The thread of clues settles the cells one by one, and what the game does became its name. During development it went by Cellumo. The story of the renaming is in A name called Silmadi.

Silmadi is out for Android, on Google Play. It is free with ads, and a one-time in-app purchase removes them.
